FINANCIAL SERVICES OFFICER II

Compass Credit Union Limited is looking for an individual to fill the role of Financial Services Officer II, on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Position
The Financial Services Officer Il position is responsible for developing new and existing member relationships, and servicing both their lending and deposit needs, which may include investments. This position has full lending authority and can service more complex member borrowing needs. This position is also responsible for administering and promoting the full range of credit union products and services and building member relationships that add value and contribute positively to the credit union’s profitability.
Experience/Education:
Experience in the areas of consumer lending, loan clerking and technology, ideally in a credit union environment would be considered an asset. Preference shall be given to those candidates that have completed the CCUA Consumer and Residential Mortgage Lending course, or a formal business degree or diploma, however combinations of education, experience and personal skills may be considered.
The successful candidate will be a goal-oriented team player and have a commitment to ongoing personal development. The candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal skills, time management/organizational and customer service skills.
For applicants with less experience, consideration may be given to starting in a Financial Services Officer I position, with the intention of furthering experience, and ultimately transitioning to the Financial Services Officer II position.
The Credit Union
Compass Credit Union has 3 branches (2 in Brandon and 1 in Erickson) as well as ownership of an insurance agency in Brandon, Manitoba. We have a membership base of about 6500, assets of $220 million, and a staff complement of about 35.
Compensation
Remuneration for this position will be $53,874 - $65,894 (based on 2024 salary range Grade 8) and dependent upon the qualifications for this position. A full benefit package is offered, including a variable pay bonus program and participation in a superannuation pension plan.
