What is a credit union?
A credit union is a member-owned financial co-operative, controlled by its members, and operated by members following the principle of helping the local community to prosper.
Why choose a credit union?
Credit unions have been leaders in social and technological innovations (compared to retail national banks) on a national and international level. They were the first to provide loans under the name of women and character loans, as well as being one of the first to provide modern technologies like ATM's, debit cards, and online banking.
Credit unions do not really run on a "sales based" model like other banks and provide members with the exact product they need that benefits the member the most. This is in spirit with helping the local community thrive and prosper.
