What is 2-Step Verification?
2-Step Verification (also referred to as two-factor authentication, two-step authentication or multi-factor verification) is a security process where users (like you) provide two different verification factors to verify their identity.
How does 2-Step Verification protect me?
2-Step Verification provides an added layer of security to your online accounts by requiring an additional verification step, typically a code sent to your mobile device, in addition to your password. This helps protect you from unauthorized access even if someone else gains access to your password.
Do I have to turn 2-Step Verification on?
2-Step Verification can be skipped for the first 30 days starting November 27, 2023. Once the 30 day period is concluded, members will be required to set it up.
Do I need to use 2-Step Verification to sign in to Compass online banking?
You will have up to 30 days starting from November 27, 2023, to set it up. It is strongly recommended to set it up as soon as possible.
Will I be able to change my own password now?
Yes, members will be able to change their online banking password on the new login portal. You will be required to set up 2-Step Verification to enable this new feature.
