MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE SUPERVISOR

Compass Credit Union is currently looking for a candidate to fill the role of a Member Service Representative Supervisor for a Full Time Position at our Erickson Branch.

The Position:

Reporting to the Manager of Member Service and Administration, the successful applicant will be responsible for leading the Member Service Department in all areas including regular daily deposit activities. This is not limited to the handling of all cash and non-cash transactions, regular member ATM, online, Card requests. Responding to member inquiries and analyzing their needs to assist members to utilize the products and services that best meet their needs. Opening member accounts, Business Accounts, Organization accounts, Corporate Accounts and Estate accounts. Opportunities for registered account transactions and processing. Providing and leading the team with professional and exceptional member service to our members and non- members.

Recognizing and coaching the front line in all referral and sales opportunities. This includes one-on-one coaching and training with staff. This position will require someone who is able to monitor and participate in all front-line deposit duties and ensure all sales targets are satisfied or exceeded. May be required to complete and conduct performance appraisals with staff.

The Member Service Supervisor responsibilities also include assuring the adherence to internal policy and procedures as well as oath of secrecy, Fintrac’s anti-money laundering regulations in all areas including, cash and negotiable items, new account opening auditing and all other policies established by Compass Credit Union.

The Person:

The successful candidate will work well under pressure, with paying high attention to detail. Will provide exceptional communication, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills. The candidate will lead by example with experience in providing leadership, resourcefulness, support and coaching to ensure the delivery of exceptional member service at all times.

Experience/Education:

The successful applicant will possess a Grade 12 diploma with a minimum 2-3 years in customer service and/or cash handling experience. 1-3 Years of related experience with direct supervisory experience being a definite asset. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required as well as experience with Windows and Microsoft Office including Excel. Previous credit union and DNA Banking Software would also be considered an asset. Applicants with a combination of other equivalent education and work experience may be considered.

Compass Credit Union, formerly Crocus and Erickson Credit Union, have two branches in Brandon, one in Erickson as well as a majority interest in an insurance agency. We have a membership base of about 6,500 members, assets of $215 million and a staff complement of approximately 35.
